As the sole designer, I partnered with the header developer at Section101 and worked directly with Jami to develop a portfolio site that captured her storied life and career. Jami wanted a website that put her life and accomplishments center stage as she geared up to launch her own media company after leaving Gothamist.
Being a prolific and accomplished lawyer and journalist, Jami has been at the forefront of major American news, from working with Hillary Clinton in the White House and covering the O.J. Simpson trial to being on the ground on 9/11 and launching WNYC's Race & Justice Unit. With such an impactful and multifaceted client, I set out to design a digital platform that centered her as the driving force behind her success.
Redesigning her site from the ground up included developing a visual identity, directing and editing headshots, copywriting, building a content archive, drafting full-page layouts for the whole site from wireframes to finished concepts, and overseeing the website build from start to finish.
